Athens Charity Week 2025

Charity Week is an annual event held by the Student Council of Athens High School. After selecting a charity, Athens hosts a multitude of different fundraisers like restaurant nights, ice skating, sporting events, and in-school activities.

“I thought charity week was so much fun and it truly showed what is possible when people come together for a great cause,” Aliyah Potts, Vice President of Freshman Student Council says.

This year the charity chosen was the Next Steps 4 Seniors Foundation. They strive to provide senior citizens with excellent support in their later years to take the stress of assisted living off of them and their families.

Students enjoyed a pancake breakfast, hypnotist show, film festival, and volleyball tournament, just to name a few, over the course of Charity Week. All in addition to many restaurant fundraisers in the days leading up to Charity Week.
At the pep assembly wrapping up this year’s Charity Week, after enjoying a fiery dodgeball tournament, Athens Student Council revealed a grand total of $100,501.93 for the Next Steps 4 Seniors Foundation. An amazing testament to the Troy community’s passion to lift others up in times of need!
