Fall Sports Season 2023
Our Athens and Troy High Athletes Have Finished MHSAA Competitive Play for the Fall

Boys Varsity Soccer
The news that made the most headlines was the Troy Athens Boys Varsity Soccer team who dominated their season, finishing with the 7th State Championship win for the program and a record of 20-3-2. Troy High saw their season end in the district final against Athens, finishing with a record of 10-7-1.

Boys Varsity Tennis
Troy High won their first state championship in Boys Varsity Tennis two years ago in 2021. This year, after winning their regional, they came close to another state title, finishing in 2nd place to Bloomfield Hills. Athens also took a trip to the state finals and placed 8th.

Varsity Cross Country
The Troy High Boys team were Regional Champions, and later placed 18th as a team in the LP Finals.

Louis D’Souza, Senior (7th at Regionals, 69th in Finals)
Quinn Kelly, Junior (32nd at Regionals, 183rd in Finals)
Akshat Arora, Junior (28th at Regionals, 237th in Finals)
Jacob Van Houten, Junior (41st at Regionals, 241st in Finals)
Richard Qu, Junior (42nd at Regionals, 243rd in Finals)
Athens Boys placed 5th as a team at Regionals.
Nate Linden, Sophomore (6th at Regionals, 138th in Finals)
Troy High Girls placed 6th at Regionals.
Audrey Hamilton, Sophomore (8th at Regionals, 104th in Finals)
Athens Girls placed 10th in Regionals.
Girls Varsity Swim & Dive
Troy High made an appearance in the LP Final with Kristin Losey and Ashley Jaskulka. Athens placed 4th in Leagues.

Varsity Volleyball
Athens lost to Troy High in the district tournament, and Troy High later lost in the 5th set of the district final.

Varsity Football
Both teams had ups and downs this season with Troy High finishing 5-4 and Athens finishing 3-6.

Girls Varsity Golf
Athens senior Ava Weeks was the top qualifying individual in her regional with a score of 77. She placed 20th in the LP Finals with a score of 168.

Troy High senior Sydney Otto was the top qualifying individual in her regional with a score of 81. She placed 62nd in the LP Finals with a score of 198.
